Western Wake Pediatrics, PA Recognizes National Breastfeeding Month/World Breastfeeding Week with the First Annual BOOB-A-PALOOZA Celebration

Whether a mom nourishes her baby with her breastmilk for one day, one week, one month, one year (or MORE) she is giving her little one a gift that lasts a lifetime! To honor and thank ALL past, present, and future breast-milk feeding families in our community, we invite our patients and the public to join us on Wednesday, August 12 from 5:30-7pm for a MILK AND COOKIES celebration with breastfeeding themed activities, games, and fun for the whole family. The theme of this year's global WABA World Breastfeeding Week is BREASTFEEDING AND WORK: LET’S MAKE IT WORK! and the providers and staff of Western Wake Pediatrics understand the strong WORK often involved in breastfeeding and pumping and we strive to offer our families the support they need to *succeed!

During the celebration, in demonstration of our commitment to breast-milk feeding, at 6:15pm the WWPeds staff is planning to host our very own (unofficial) BIG LATCH ON photo opportunity. Our vision for this moment is to stand alongside former/future breastfeeding families as we surround and support current breast-milk feeding families who will, at the same time, nourish their little ones with breast milk as we capture and share a snapshot of how we strive to help #NormalizeBreastfeeding in our practice! We hope you will join us.
